How the Midwives Work The
Midwives practice independently of each other, however we cover each other
for regular time off or
if
we are busy due to a birth etc. The on call Midwife is available 24 /7
for urgent
calls.
Please ring the pager and state that the call is urgent. Repeat the call
if there is no response within
5 minutes. Please make non urgent calls between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. We
are members of the New Zealand College of Midwives and our practices are
reviewed annually by Midwives
and Consumers
via the Midwives Standard Review Committee.
We support student Midwives and often have them working with us. |
